I’m a writer and editor in Fort Worth, Texas. My website features samples of my fiction, nonfiction, essays, poems, personal stories, and photos.
My fiction story “The World Drops Beneath You” was published in the anthology Stories from Texas College Students (2016, Lamar University Press), available at Amazon.com. Or you can read the story on my profile at Medium.
I write corporate communications, and graduated from the University of North Texas with a master’s degree in fiction writing. For three years, I was a fiction and nonfiction editor for The American Literary Review, an online journal that awards annual writing prizes in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
For more than 20 years, I was a newspaper reporter and editor, most recently metro editor at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. I left the Star-Telegram after almost nine years to become copywriting supervisor in the e-commerce marketing department of The Exchange, a global retailer serving military customers.
I was a digital lead for the 2014 political campaign of Wendy Davis when she ran for Texas governor, blogging for Davis and for Battleground Texas, shooting photos, and conducting voter registration drives.
